Frankly, according to a genuine study of history, Hitler was a Catholic who thought he was the chosen one, because he survived the assassination attempt at the bunker. He was just continuing the tradition of persecuting the Jewish people that the Catholic church started 1500 years before Hitler, as Hitler stated himself. The rest were driven by human greed and psychosis (Stalin) as their aim was power for their megalomania, it was not atheism that drove them. Myself, I'm a believing Catholic, though my husband and adult son are atheists, they are extremely humanistic and couldn't bring themselves to hurt anybody. This is the only thing our world views have in common.
