One of these things is not like the others! I'd love to hear what you thought of the Hunger Games. I breezed through the series and wished there were a few more!
LOL - yes ma'am, one is definitely not like the others. So good to hear from you. I read the first book because I'm teaching a class on Ethics at our local Christian High School and thought this would be helpful because I assumed many of my students would be reading it. My quick, off the cuff assessment was that the first one was good and the second one wasn't bad- but I'm a guy and the relationship introspection stuff started to get old fast. There was a clear moral thrust to the first book that seemed to blur by the last one ... though I guess came back into focus with the last scene. I really liked her portrayal of the vomitoria in the second one - it really took an abstract story from Classical history and made it vividly real and believable. Also an interesting indictment of the decadence of our entertainment-glutted and state-dependent society. Anyway, good to hear from you.
